NJ Long Tube GuysAntz97ZNJ 03-12-2004, 09:56 AM How are u guys passing the visual inspection, and or what stations arent doing them Projectz28 03-12-2004, 10:45 AM Personally, I'm not. I took the car off the road because its just too hard to do. If you get caught with them in NJ, your fines will be more than the car is worth. IMO, if you want headers in NJ keep it legal. if you want LT's, take the car off the road. The shop that gave me my last sticker wont do it anymore. 2MCHPWR 03-12-2004, 04:12 PM I have long tubes, but i also run cats. i took it to state inspection station twice. the only reason i failed was because i have a cutout, which they saw. of course it was capped, but they said its illegal anyways. so then i asked them to continue on with their testing, just to make sure it was cool emissions wise. well since it is OBDII, they don't do a sniffer test. they just plug into the OBDII port and check for SES lights. I have LS1edit and it passed no problems. so if your car has OBDII, they won't emissions test your car; pretty good to know. i should have put a bigger cam in :-) moral of the story, just take your car to a private inspection station. it'll cost between 70 and $100. good luck.
