if the stripes are the matching iroc ones, the z28 non polished rims are there, the car has hood louvers, headlight buckets are painted black, and no rpo codes. and grill looks like the rs grill.

is there any way to tell at all?

TPI for IROC. could be wrong ut Ive never heard of a stock IROC being anything other than TPI.

anyone can swap rims, body panels.

as said above. run VIN. but even then. make sure the motor wasnt swapped.

Like stated in the other post.

TBI was the base motor in 88 IROC's. Not to mention there was no RS in 88 either just the base coupe.

irocs did come with the TBI as a base, up untill either 90 or 91 when i THINK the L98 was standard

my 87 LG4 came from a Z28

Yup, Chevy was downright parochial in their approach to the powerplants for 3rd gen Z28s and Irocs. Embarassing really

TPI was introduced in 85 for IROCS.
