Anybody modding their ride right now?

I'm doing the old "find out why you car eats up a qt of oil every 1000 miles" mod...

Judging by my dyno, it should be worth about 20 horses!

In about two weeks my heads go on :D

Don, what do you have going on? Any hints? ALso, I know you tune LS1's, how much hp/tq could my pops gain in his 99 C5 if you made a tune for him?

I have a tuning special going on for 2 more weeks over at LS1tech eastern section.

On gains it depends on what I start at.A common gain is 10hp/10tq across the rev range and alot better throttle response in part throttle areas.I've seen as much as 30hp/20tq on a couple cars.

nothing special really, just a set of ported lt1's that flow 260ish at .550. Eventually I'll throw a bigger cam in instead of the hotcam.

Maybe I have seen you around? What part of MA you live, and what color ( so I know not to mess with you ;) )

Doing a few mods myself,
-Racetronix Hi pressure fuel pump with upgrade harness
-Comp Pro Magnum rocker arms
-Comp Hitech one piece pushrods
-Comp R lifters
-BMR Torque Arm
-BMR trailing arms
-Nitto Extreme Drag Radials

Larger injectors are up next, as well as a dyno tune to try to get things sorted out. :)

I didn't know RAD's was up and running, it's been a while since I've been over there. Have you checked it out? That would be WAY more convenient for me than going to Worcester.

I've been trying to get a hold of Dean of a Head/Intake swap on my Z but's he's a hard man to get a hold of. Not to mention that Spring is going to ne here before we realize it:alert:

I'm trying to put headers in, the damn passanger side just doesn't want to come out though.

does a complete resto mod count as modding? if so i guess im modding my 67 RS/SS

just curious is there anyone from central mass and if so where do all the camaros hang out when the nice weather comes around here?

I'm from Ware, which is pretty much smack dab in the middle of Massachusetts. When I find a good place to cruise/hang out, I'll let you know. :( Until then, I guess I'll keep abusing riceboys. :)

Hey, off the subject a little, how are your AI heads? Any dyno numbers/track numbers with your current setup?

Im doing some light modding this as we speak ;)

the ai heads are great. the combo i have in my camaro i feel is a strong one. i havent got her on a dyno yet nor has it been on the track. but i will say this salesguy from diamond chevy in worc found out just how fast she is, made his buyer test driving in the z06 think twice about spending the money on a z06 after they just got spanked by a camaro with z06 rims on her hahahahaha, it should be interesting this season when i take her out of storage she will be at the summer nationals this year.

I stopped by to see Don @ RAD today, he says the dyno is all set and is up and running! So us western Mass. guys now have local dyno! :thumb:

Just finished my heads and cam swap...but not without big problems........

fuel line broke so after starting it up to see how it was going to run the thing caught on fire!!! Runs really good for no tune and ported and polished heads with a cc306, Now I have to bolt the rest of the exhaust back on....Where is the Dyno here in Ludlow:confused:

I live in Ludlow and that directions threw me for a big loop:confused:

I just bear right off Boston Road (heading into Wilbraham) before the underpass, come to the stop sign and take a right onto Ravenwood Drive.

If you don't mind jumping a fence like the Dukes of Hazard you can see RAD from the Pike! :lol:

well let see where i am located it hasnt stopped snowing in about 3 days. at this rate april is looking good. we can all make a convoy to the dyno,and then dyno as many as we can in a day.
try and find a central point and then pick a day and if the weather stays good then we all meet up and take a ride.......
