You should beat him but expect a very close race either way. They are a 13 second car stock.

They are ALMOST as fast as an LS1, stock. But, it is pretty dependant on how good the driver is.

The automatics are very slow. The 5 speeds are the ones to worry about.

Have you had your LS1 to the track? If you're running a 13.1-13.2 @ 107 or something, you should hold him off pretty good.

What Rob said, if you're running lowish 13's then I don't see you having much of a problem.

I beleive the Mach 1's are capable of mid to low 13s stock. I raced one and beat him simply because I got the holeshot on him. He ran a 13.5 @ 105 to my 13.7 @ 104. You having an LS1 you should be able to get a stock one.

Yeah, yeah...I'm painting her soon, but atleast my primer is ahead of the Mach 1. ;)

I have a friend with one. He's not the greatest driver but still managed a 13.6 we put our hot shoe in the car and he went 13.34 The car was bone stock with 700mi on it.

Theres a couple in NMRA factory stock running low 12's on drag radials.

Pullies, shorty headers, mass air, throttle body, gear.....Drag radials. Not a whole lot, most of us have that kinda of stuff anyways, right? Ask Bob Crosby on here, he's got a damn fast stockish 99 Cobra that runs 11's with just bolt on's.
