For a graduation present my parents (well my dad) said they would get me wheels and tires since my dad knew I had been wanting some. I have a few picked out and was wondering if I could get your guys opinions.

1. 16" IROC rims used
2. These from Hawks http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=13964
3. 10 spoke SS takeoffs http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?PARTNUMBER=80092F
4. These but polished not chrome http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=2024
5. Another suggestion.....

Also what size should I go 16" or 17" and what are you guys suggestions for tires. I really don't wanna spend any more than $400 for tires.

Yea I am kinda leaning towards them, I just need tires for them that aren't too expensive.

They're wheels, not rims :D

Remember if you get 4th gen wheels you'll have to buy spacers which are expensive.

I vote for the IROC wheels :D

The ZR1's in the link are replicas made to fit 82-92 F-Body's, so basically 4th gen wheels but with the backspacing and offsets to fit a 3rd gen with no adapters. I only wish they made them 9" wide.

any wheel that doesn't use an adapter and 16's since the price budget.

I am looking for tires around $100. Probably like 255/40/17's or so. Anything would be an improvement over what I have now.

tires as in a tire or all 4 tires? stick with 16's unless you can find a used set of larger wheels dirt cheap. your budgets awfully low for anything higher.

I found some 255/40/17 for $103 a piece on tire rack. Anything in that range is good.

no 100 is fine...just not 100 for all 4.

:D

i'd at least try to get an hr rated tire...z isn't necessary although it's nice.
