Alright, I like the way my iroc sounds. Open headers, but the cops have been giving me a bad wrap so i have to get some legit exhaust. I want loudmouth on my car. I dont want to pay 600 dollars for 3 inch pipe and a resonator and chrome tips. My buddy has LM on his 00 Ram Air and being his mechanic im always under it. Its only a 3 inch pipe with a resonator, thats it. So my question being should i just buy a resonator and have it put on. How do you think it will sound. I want the loudest possible exhaust for my car. Thats why i like LM.
I've heard this system on L98s before and it is loud, but it lacks a muscular tone IMO.

Buy a dynomax bullet muffler. It is a real muffller not a resanator and weld that into the I pipe and run straight pipes out the back. They can be had for very cheap. And they sound good, no rasp.

 the loudmouth is only like $350
i recommend magnaflow, very good flow, great sound, and decent price (ebay for about $325 i think)

Ahh! my favorite subject. for the old l98 what you need is simple.
1. headers ( which you got )
2. straight pipe ( no cat )
3. used loud mouth and get rid of the resonator and put one of the stainless works mufflers in its place. ( the sam ones that go on the GMMG system )

Im not going to actually buy LM because all it consists of is 3 inch pipe and that resonator. So my plan is 3 inch pipe with a stainless works muffler with dual exit out back. How much and where at can i get one of these mufflers?
PS. I have no cats but i will have 2 sections of test pipe to bolt in when i dont go to emsions and the cats will just go back up on the shelf till next emissions test.
