I finally decided to start tinkering with my own tuning. Just got an OBDI PCM and LT1 Edit. The problem I am having right now is getting the PCM to reprogram for a manual. Right now it thinks it's still in automatic and my reverse lockout solenoid doesn't work while the car is moving and it is a real PITA to get the car in reverse when it is stopped. The PCM thinking it's for an auto car is the only thing I can think of right now since I did not have this problem before I converted. :\

Are you saying you converted from A4 to M6 and are re-using the A4 PCM?
I have been led to believe you have to have an auto/stick specific pcm...

Nah.
The PCM was off of an auto. My car is a manual but the PCM still thinks it's an auto. I have been told it doesn't matter whether it's auto or manual that LT1 edit can reflash the PCM to your liking.

you need to load a stock m6 lt1edit file in it. im not sure how to do that with lt1edit becuase of the vin lock. i think you would load the lt1edit file that you get (or download) and then read it back out and that should change the vin # back to your orignal vin# number and when you read it the lt1edit will recognize the vin# as the correct one. and that will make it able to make changes to the file. all your doing is changing the vin#. i think the lt1edit will load a file with a different vin# but will not let you read one with a differnt vin.
i could be wrong about tthe prosedure but i know you can do it,

A knowledgeable friend of mine told me that same thing... that I'd have to reflash the PCM w/ a manual program. The guy who sold it to me has some manual programs and we're going to mess with it next weekend.
