Anyone with a M6 and has had 275 F1's COME IN!!

What are some good 60' times with the F!'s, and how did you launch to get a decent 60 with these tires? Thanks for any replys

i got new F1's on my ss but i havent launched on them sadly yet.. :(

You should be able to get a 1.9XX out of them pretty easily if you know what you're doing.

Well just HTF do you get even a 2.0xx 60' time with these tires? What technique, RPM, etc. do you use to launch?

Its all a matter of slipping the clutch. I don't have those tires on my car regularly but I switched wheels w/my dad's SS for a week when I autcrossed my car. I figured teh 275's with a smaller sidewall would be better than my 245's for autcrossing. He had my nitto's on his car at the time. Decided to go to the track with him that one night during that week while we still had our wheels & tires swapped. He used my extra set of salad shooters w/nittos on them and I used the 10 spokes with F1's. I cut a pretty consistent 1.95 60' all night.

Basically, I just held the RPM's around 3500 and just searched for that sweet spot where the tires are on the threshold of spinning but not spinning yet. Don't ever let the RPM's ever drop below 3,000. This way you'll be in the power band once you feel it is safe to put the pedal to the floor. Its just all a matter of knowing your car and how it likes to be driven. I ended up doing a best of 12.8 that night I believe. It was a while ago so I don't remember completely. I'll tell you this though, I definitely prefer having the 245 nittos in the back at the track than the 275 F1's....thats for sure.

Launching my M6 with nittos I do the same thing, but I hold the RPM's aroudn 4,500 on the line and feather the clutch out from there. Best 60's to date on the nittos is a 1.88 which equaled the time in my sig.

Launching like that isn't too clutch friendly, but I have a gorilla of a clutch that enjoys a good beating.

should be able to get a 1.9XX

If I can pull a 2.109 on factory Eagle GAs 235/50/16(on a v6) with 37,000 miles on them and an open diffy, you shoudl be able to run 1.9s on wheels like that especially with the more down low power you have...

I cut a 2.0x a few times, LT1, M6, bald F1's :D

I went to the track tonight and cut a 1.86 60' which equaled my current time in the sig.
