Hey guys,

I'm buying new wheels and tires, going with Weld's Draglite XP 16x8.5" Rims.

My question is, will ET Streets of this size fit without modification on my '95 Z28: 26x11.5x16?

If not, what do I need to do, and thanx in advance!

They'll fit fine.

Why 16"? 15" tires will launch harder.

11.74 @ 114mph on a 1.56 60ft....

Bolt on LS1, 4400 stall, on that SAME rear rim combo. Seems to hook pretty good to me :) I still prefer the 15" rim, but these were cheap at the time.

Sorry, this is my work account, but I want the 16" because I was told you have to modify your brake calipers to run Weld's 15" rims. Is this true? Hell, if not, I'll just go skinny/fat combo and be done with it.

You can get some longer studs and use a spacer. Otherwise you will need to grind the calipers to use 15" wheels.

could always go with the Centerline Convo Pros. They didn't need any caliper grinding in front or back if i remember correctly. I know for sure that the fronts fit without any grinding on my '98Z

Spacers on the drive wheels cutting 1.5 60' times? No thanks.

They have been used safely for years. If properly designed, constructed, and used it's no problem.
