Bone stock 2000 SS

I ran the SS last night. I've had the car for 2 days. The track absolutely sucked last night. I couldn't even give it half throttle in first gear without blowing tires off through first and second gear. Anyways, enough excuses. Best time was a 13.8 @ 105.2 with a 2.41 60' - that's 100% bone stock down to the paper filter. I have no doubt the car will run a low 13 at 106-107 with some traction. I was happy about the mph, but there was nothing I could do about the ET. Wednesday night street drags out here = no track prep and a bunch ricers dragging water to the starting line.

Note: If you have something constructive about how to launch a bone stock LS1, I'd love to hear it. If you are going to tell me I suck at driving, save it. :p I have over 300 passes in my '97 and have cut consistent 2.0 60's on street tires so I'm not a total tard hehe. New, improved times to come in a week or two.

Well, I figured out the rev limiter is at 6200. I was shifting at 5700 rpm at the track yesterday cause I was used to a stock LT1 rev limiter. I'm sure pulling it to 6100 rpm will help the mph some. :)

watch where you stage the car, on test and tune nights most ppl pull up in the dead center of the lane, draggin water and **** to the starting line and ruining the surface, if you look for this and stage closer to one side of the lane, you'll be on a cleaner part of the surface :) depending on the number of idiots at your track, you should get a better launch

thats just a start, my cars an auto so i cant tell ya how to launch a manual :)
