is it worth getting my pcm programed for these mods?

my passkey vats has been giving me trouble, so i am just having it programed out. WHILE im at it, should i have them optimize the programming for my mods?

'94 lt1 auto, 90k miles, mostly completely stock, cept for hooker catback, tb bypass, ported MAF, home made CAi. the car also has a small oil leak from the front of the motor. i ALWAYS run 93 octane gas

is it even worth it w/ my milage/oil leak? i don't really want to mess up my car. or should i just get my vats programmed out and not worry about getting anything else changed.

thanks

Jon

Fans are easy to edit, you could have them edit those so they come on at a lower temp, stay on longer, etc. Maybe get rid of AIR and EGR too, if you don't like those. There may be a few other small things like that you could do, maybe edit your shift points and firmness. Do you have a performance switch?

yes i have the perf. switch. i RARELY touch it tho. i was thinking fans as well. i would leave egr/air alone, just got my egr replaced actually.

i didn't think the oil leak would really matter if i get it optimized. they say it will net me 10-15hp, which of course i am skeptical of exactly that much hp, but my main goal isn't hp, its to get this darn passkey system programmed out so my car will actually start when i want it to. hp would be an added bonus http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif

thank you for the input

Sure. Fans on sooner, auto shift firmness and a few changes, advance the timing a few degrees, lean out wot.
