What does it take to get big injectors to run properly at low rpm on a mild set-up? svo 30#-220$ Frp's,msd,holley,svo42#,delphi,ect,ect-300$-450+.Is the differnce just a supply and demand thing? Or are the more expensive ones better?(more versitile). I've heard it said "there is no down side to running big injectors anymore". I need to know if this pertains to all(cheap svo's,delphi, ect.)or only the high priced ones.

As far as I know there are only two manufacturers of injectors Bosch & Lucas. Everybody else just puts there name on them. I'm running the 36# SVO's and have no problem idling. You need to change the offset and constant tables and it should run fine.

GM makes their own injectors (Rochester Products), and I believe Siemans is independantly produced - could be wrong on that one though.
The key issue in low rpm and idle operataion is achieving a low pulse width. Within the selection of high impedance injectors available, the "disc" type produced by Lucas is the fastest, followed by the RP's, with Bosch (aka Denso, Ford, SVO) being the slowest. When you get to really large injectors, you typically start looking at "peak and hold" (low impedance) injectors, which operate much faster than a "saturated" (high impedance) design, and can achieve lower pulse widths. It is the peak and hold design, plus the high current, high resolution drivers in the aftermarket computers that allow the use of very large injectors, without problems at idle and low rpm.
