Ive got a question, In the north banana no-motor zone. Are you allowed to use a electric motor? It doesnt cause polution.
And are you allowed to fish under nasa causeway?

No and No. Besides, with all the runoff that ends up in the water there, the only thing I would do in that area is fish for sport only. We got thrown out of the area more than once, just fun fishing for catfish. Nasa is not too keen about people fishing on restricted property. Almost caught either a gator or salt water crock there years back. Actually, it almost caught us. Between that and Nasa chasing us off, that cured me. Maybe things have changed?

No motor = No motor
Otherwise you could just motor up and troll back there. It's better to get out and wade or at least take a canoe or kayak anyway. That's what I usually do. Even if you paddle a canoe that has a trolling motor on it they will bust you. NO MOTORS.

As for the causeway... I've never fished there. I almost always stay in Mosquito Lagoon. Usually at the far South end by Whale Tail Flat and Pelican Island. Back in 2001 they were pretty strict of course but you might get away with being close to the causeway now.

Gators usually only get close during mating season. Stingrays are my biggest concern there. Gators make themselves visible when they're getting aggressive. There are some big mommas in there though.

Ive lived beach side on and around both those rivers for 34 years and would not eat anything that came out of them now.
The fish are loaded with parasites, worms and bacteria.
Back in the day, I fished all around the inlets and the Air Force Base all the way down to Sebastian and the fish were great. Snapper, sheaps, mullets, cats. Now the fish dont even look good.
In my opinion good fishing on the rivers has been gone for about 20 years.

Yes fishing SUCKS now compaired to 20 years ago. My grandparents have pics on he when I was 2 holding (trying to) redfish / seatrout that were as big as I was.

We are gonna take a canoe up there prolly. Maby a john boat type boat with a polling platform.

Thats where the world reckord red fish was caught like 2 years ago. (flats)

But we are gonna go up to the causeway, prolly anker 20 feet from it and cast under or something.

I havent caught a sheep head in like 3 years, or and nice size mangrove snapper / grunts / and all the other snappers. And most of the sea trout ive been taking out of indian river have had worms, so we are gonna try no motor zone.

can you use push polls & ankers?

As long as you stay out of the "no pole" zone and the "no anchor" zone you should be fine. They're between the "no hook" zone and the "no beef jerky" zones. :D
