tuner cat vs tuner cat rt

im getting ready to order a tuner cat, so wich one should i get? does anyone here use the rt version?

Pretty sure we can't use the rt version. Although I'd love to be able to change things while the car is running like DFI and such!

TC's sight says it will work but you need a $180 Romulator.

If I was keeping my Z28, Tuner Cat RT would most definately be a purchase...

That is true, but; on the ecm def file page it states otherwise. Here is the link: http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html

K, but can you scroll down a bit more and see where it says exactly what 97Z-M6 already posted?

The Romulator also does not support the FLASH based PCM’s supported by the $EE ECM Definition File.

Now go to www.xtronics.com and take a look at the ROMulator. You will see that it is only an EPROM supporting device at current time. It does not support PLCC-32 FLASH chips. This is a list of all the devices that the ROMulator currently supports:

27(C)16, 27(C)32, 27(C)64, 27(C)128, 27(C)256, 29C256
(27(C)512 PKT-ROM2 only)

No where on either Tunercat's or Xtronics' sites does it say that it will support 94+ FLASH PCMs. In fact, it states the exact opposite on both, and on TC's it is specifically spelled out!

All I am saying is their ECM def. file page is misleading. Obviously it is not supported. I did not read the disclaimer when I first posted, thats all.
