Had some fun with an IROC-Z

had a nice dark blue IROC wanna play with the Z.. Sounded modded to hell, maybe was just a mean sounding exhaust though. He got the jump and hung with me through 2nd(was from a slow roll, plus i'm an A4) then as soon as it hit 3rd I put on a few carlengths :) How fast are the older IROC's? Gave him a thumbs up later. Was a blast! :)

Stock I think there like 14.8 - 15.6 but Im not sure . There dead sexy though .

L98 ones are fast. 305s I can smoke in my VR6! :D

Some years of the 5.7's were rated at 245 hp and 345 ft-lbs, if I recall correctly. That is more than the 325 ft-lbs of the LT1 in the 4th gen cars!

Even though I own a 4th gen and love to drive it mainly because of the motor, I still love the handling of the IROC's way better than the 4th gen cars.

My 87 Irocz has done the 1/4 mile in 14.66 & thats with only a few mods. I cant wait to see what it will do with the new mods on it now.

Season opens up in APril.

Theres a few of us out there!! And soon to be a few real quick ones. IROC-Z from vancouverfbody.com will have a supercharged LT1 6 speed, IROCNparts will have a 421CID supercharged Vert and IROCZ383 will get the tuning done on his 383 6 speed. Im gonna be the slowest third gen. around LOL
