Do You Burnout?

Ok.. Aside from when your about to get new tires and want to roast up the old ones.. Who here has resisted the urge and NOT burned their tires up more than once?
Am I the only one on the planet left who values his 800$ set of tires enough not to burn em out? LOL :)

So here I am at school in Surrey at 9:40pm in a computer course called Distributed Systems, listening to my instructor talk about RPC (Remote Procedure Call)issues and the process an RPC service goes through upon a failed connection.... Just handed my socket connection program assignment....

And for some strange reason, i can't make some fancy comeback your declaration of my Dorkyness ...

*raises the dork flag high* bwhahaha ;)

LOL :D

I can't get myself to burn off a perfectly good set of tires, so what I do is bolt on some oldies! I will try and post a picture. I have run my current set of tires for three years!

Nope, I am not able to post a picture, oh well!

Sorry to offend anyone here, but if you own one of these cars and don't burn-out, you're GAY...saaaaaad but true;)

The whole point to these cars is to annoy old people, scare girl friends and burn off 20,000km worth of tires after about 5,000km.

nods. whats the point then.

may as well drive a cavalier. Not burning out is like buying a 1000 watt amp to power your 300 watt speaker =)

I'll squeel at lights but not roast the tires =O
And.. I don't belive id consider myself a cavalier driver the way i am on the highway...

transport and application ;)

u should've been listening to ur teacher

I'll have to disagree...
RPC is definatly in the session layer... do a few googles to confirm .. i just did hehe... You could implement RPC's in an application etc but RPC's work in the session layer. Make sense too since the whole class was about opening sockets and the accessing the Streams ... which are encapsulated in the transport layer =o

Why are we discussing this at 1am.. Argh LOL. Nites!!!

With my shift kit and my baldazz tires I get a patch into 2nd everytime I'm on the throttle more than 40%. I can patch 3rd if Im on it really hard. But I havent done too many burn outs. Just as fun to lay a patch 40 ft from your launch.

i do burnouts all the time with my winter tires on, but i resist as much as i can with my summer tires cause they are $1100 for the pair. but i need new winter tires already from this winter and they are only 400 for the pair so im gonna roast them off right before i put my summers back on about the end of march. mith cheap tires i have to do burnouts every where:D

there is a video we put together last yr at sfu and part of a cruise. in that if you can find it you will see all who do burnouts, at least of who was there.

:D

Andy Not burning out here and not gay either. Just value the price of new tires and a new car. Small, quick burnouts of course but fully blown smoke shows no yet. I thinking of ordering new tires and rims and I only have 15k on these tires but when I order new ones I'll go for it. I'm thinking of some drag radials too for when I'm feelin bad and for the track. :)

sure .. i do smokey burnouts :D when i have my ET drags on in the burnout box ...

any other full out burnout is retarded IMO.. i think people who do full out smokeshows like that on street tires are the gay ones..

going sideways is always fun though :D

Andy That's because I haven't really done them in my 02 bird. Done plenty in my old 70 RS SS split-bumper with over 400rwhp. Did some in my 95 TA after a couple of years and will do the same with this bird. If I bought a car just for smoke shows it wouldn't be a new one. I admire a good smoke show like most of us here. :metal:

Payam, I remember you getting all defencive when I said Houman was the burn out king (you thought you were)...then you said you would do a smoke show when you had those crappy 315's on your old ZR1's. You've done a 180 in your point of view within the year I guess.

No burnouts here. I would only ever a do a burnout if it served a legit purpose - i.e. heating up DRs or slicks.

We'll I guess people grow up sometime or another, but I'll never get bored of doing burnouts.

It's like farting, it's the timeless classic joke.

Burnouts are a timeless classic in my opinion. Can't get enough of them, they are just too much fun.

Here's one of mine: check out this smoker (http://www.seanbatt.com/files/MUSIC01.mpg) :D

I spin the tires to induce a fishtail or drift fairly regularly. Dont like to do smokeshows often in a V8 car though. The only reason I do smokeshows is to get a whiff of that lovely burnt rubber smell when my car isnt fast enough to get that smell any other way. I think thats why the mustangs do so many smokeshows ;) .

Hell, I have a FWD import and I still smoke 'em a few times.
However, there is something that is bothering me here.
I'm 100% straight and take no offense personally, but for respect of others out there, I refrain from using the word "gay"
Surely you don't mean it in the intended way, but I'm sure others are offended, reguardless if they mention their discomfort or not.
Sorry for being a wet blanket, but I figured I would bring it up! :)

On another note, I will probably chirp the old tires I have when I get my F-body (project lethal injection :metal: ) until I get the new tires, then I'll limit my rubber layage to twice a day. ;):p

And on another note, the idea of Payam growing up is kinda humurous. :D
The day Payam grows up is the day I make my VW run 9s. ;)

Payam growing up...RIIIIIIGHT!

Growning up kills the mind ;)

I have been known to doa burnout of two. Usually from a roll so the car is in motion all ready and easier to control. Longest is from a 15MPH roll and measured over 270Feet NO BRAKES INVOLVED!

There is a tiny one we did for people who wanted to here how the car sounded on JDs site. i will see if I can find it
