When you put pictures online, put an identifying "watermark" on each photo (some photo websites do this automatically). A seller on eBay stole a pic of my Fernco Ram Air inlet coupling, and when I complained to eBay they asked me for the address of the photo on the internet. When they saw the watermark, it was clear that the seller had used the picture form my server without permission, and they had him remove it within minutes. I have since added a "copyright" notice to each page of photos as well.

Sad that people take what does not belong to them.

Yeah that's the way to do it, put watermarks on them!! Brent should really do this, his stuff is taken all the time!

Way to go guys and thanks for the tip. I get people from ebay all the time telling me they have the same thing for sale. It even happened on a numbered item 1-100. How many #49's are out there. Watch out cause there are ebay scammers out there.

What a lame auction anyway and I cant believe there are actually bidders!!! IT says true xenon conversion yeah right im sure its just some cheesy hyperwhite painted halogen bulb. He doesnt even list the parts included. So I e-mailed him and asked which type of ballasts are included and whether its a D2S or D2R bulb. Moron!

AW/whiteZ-28,

You hit the nail on the head. I don't want ANY association whatsoever with an Ebay scam. I am surprised Ebay is taking so long to remove the auction.

Hey MORON..... you have the intelligence of a dog turd!

When someone posts a scam on eBay - selling $5 Fernco connectors for $20, using a picture of my car - and people send me e-mail and ask if its me who's scamming people, I have every right to object. The photos represent "intellectual property"..... but then how would someone like you with no intellect at all, ever understand that concept.... :D

Every damn post, you have something negative to say about people and their cars. Why don't you take your pathetic little life, and crawl back in your hole.

Better think up a new screen name, because "WhotBetter?" is about to go down the same toilet as "StreetSharkZ'02" and "TheEnforcer"........

Man that is sooo lame!!!! Ya know what listen to me. Bid on the conversion, get his address by saying you want to send a money order. Call the local police or if he's close by "go over to his dang house".

I hate scams like that. did you see the "better pics upon request". What does he plan to do? Go to pu12en page and right click some more headlight shots? Or worse say it's his.

i'm on Ebay everyday too so I'll keep a look out also for these broke fools that are using my fellow CZ28'ers pictures.

Jcb890, I've edited your post. That was way outta line for this board.

As a friendly reminder to all... the language filter on this board is turned on because the admins WANT it on. Therefore, common sense would seem to say that one should NOT over-ride the language filter. So, lets please remember, do NOT over-ride the language filter. Type what you want to type and if it gets "*" out then that is the way it should be.

Thanks :D

Awesome !! I remember emailing you about it. I noticed the pic immediately when I seen it. There were several pics of the fernco intake on that guys auction. Yours was the only one I knew for certain though.Glad they took care of it

Yeh, I only found out about it after people like you called my attention to it. I really don't want anyone thinking I support the "scam", or have anything to do with it, and the easiest way to do that is to have the picture removed. I asked the "seller"
to do it, explained to him the benefits of doing it, and all I got back from him was an unbelievably foul-mouth rant about how I was too old to be playing with kids on bulletin boards and I should get a life. So, it was very satisfying to see eBay cut the guys 'nads off. I also had a little fun e-mailing many of the people who paid $20 for a $5 hardware store item, and explaining to them why they might not want to give the seller a favorable review. That worked well, too.

I also apologize to everyone for my rant above - I over reacted... but this is just an ongoing situation with someone who brings nothing to the board, and does little more than badmouth anyone who does not totally agree with his idea of what looks good and what makes sense.

OK if ya really want to be dirty about it:

I've been catching virus's alot recently. Luckily my Nortons has been catching them before they enter my hardrive and deleting them. most have been "trojan. exe" now I could save them in a quaratined folder and.......... well you should know the rest. If he has an email add. lol lol go to work on his email. But I would'nt want anyone to get the wrong idea (hint-hint) I hate viruses but in this case it might prove useful. We (cardomain) put alot of effort into hooking up our cars and for a guy who does'nt even own a camaro to try to reap the spoils of someone elses work really gets me mad. pu12en is a prominent member who knows his s**t when it comes to camaros.

Scamming is just not right!!!!!!!!! I've been scammed on ebay once, for a set of blue neons. After the auction dude got booted from ebay (did'nt help me none) but always check the feedbacks and also check to see if he/she was buyer or seller and then check out "what" is was what they bought or sold. Check this out, this week a guy is selling a TV monitor for your car right (I almost bought it) but when I checked his feedback the most recent was from a guy who sold him the same TV he is selling. Does'nt sound too far fetched right? WRONG!!!! The dates are so close togther that he could'nt have even recieved it yet to even sell it. Then on top of that he says he's had it in his car for over a year. How in the hell can he have it in his car for over a year but he won the auction for it two weeks ago? DUH!!!!!!!!! If I have the time I'll come back and drop the link

After you tell the seller to **** off... we can help you do a real conversion for much, much less $$.
