ASAP: EGR pipe removal

I want to remove the pipe but dont want to spend big $$ to get ls1 edit or something...other ideas?

I dont know, but maybe you could remove the pipe and plug the exhaust and intake manifolds, leaving the egr valve itself in place. I dont know if you did that if it would throw a code or not.

Since you have a '98 it might not. I tried removing the air pump fuse on mine and immediately got a P0412 code. Try removing the fuse and see what happens - you can always stick it back in there.

ok ill do that, when a code is thrown, you can tell be setting the SES light right?

2001nbmz28-egr and the air pump are 2 different systems. If you have a 2001 you dont have an egr valve.

coog-you would know if you got a code because your ses light would come on.
