Whats the IAT hole on the TSP lid ???SpeedzAdisease 02-17-2004, 10:59 PM I think it was IAT ??? What is that and do I need it ?? Hope that doesnt make me sound like a dope. locosteelersfan 02-17-2004, 11:08 PM Look at your lid up on the left at the neck, see the "plug" going in. That seeds data to the PCM. All lids have them. What they are selling is the seal, you could reuse yours. I didn't cause I'm not patient or precise with my hands so I paid the extra money. At least its optional on the direct flow which is a steal at 75 bucks if your looking for a lid Gold Z 02-17-2004, 11:12 PM You are correct. It is the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor housing hole. You simply remove the IAT sensor and it's rubber housing from your stock lid and reinstall them in the hole in your new lid. But , do people have a mother of a time getting them to fit and seal good ? I gather the TSP lid is the way to go. Correct me if I'm wrong.:D Gold Z 02-17-2004, 11:32 PM The grommet is "fun" to get out of the stock lid. It's easier if you first push the IAT sensor out of the grommet then use some WD40 or some other lubricant and a small screwdriver to gently pry the grommet loose. locosteelersfan 02-18-2004, 06:40 AM Originally posted by SpeedzAdisease I agree on the price. Correct me if I'm wrong.:D The first time is a little tricky-you have to push down at the neck to get all 4 tabs to line up then back. It gets easier. I Think that shows it seals good since it doesn't just fall on there | ||
