Hey I was just wondering which is a better shifter, the Pro 5.0, or the Hurst Package. I have herd nothing but great things about the Pro 5.0, but Hurst, Cmon, they are probably THE NAME in domestic transmissions. So just some opinions and input would be more than welcome.

After reading alot of posts on the subject, I went with the Hurst Billet Plus shifter as I heard that it has better street manners than the Pro 5.0. I dont go to the track very often, only been once snice I got the car in '99.
I cant tell you how I like it though because I haven't done the M6 swap yet. I've got all the parts sitting in the garage, but I'm waiting for warmer weather before doing the swap. My A4 is going out, but hopefully it'll hold out for another month or so...

I ran the Hurst Competition shifter for a couple of years and liked it. I read all the hype about the Pro 5.0 and decided to "upgrade". I do like that fact that the handle is shorter (I added a Lou's short shifter), but I don't think it shifts any better. I still have the Hurst if you're interested, shoot me a PM and I'll make you a deal.

I have a hurst billet plus and my buddy has a pro 5.0. We both prefer my hurst over his pro 5.0. I've heard bad things about the hurst competetion plus. I would get the billet plus and its chrome too.
