strut cartridges

Does anyone on here know if the strut cartridges on a 93 - 97 Z28 are the exact same on some earlier cars. I know that the rear springs are the same from 82 and up, but have been wondering about the struts? Anyone?

The 3rd Gens had true "struts" in the front. The 4th Gens in the front are "coil-over shocks", and bear no resemblence to the 3rd Gen parts.

The axle mounting locations on the rear shocks - again, no struts - are the same, not sure if the top mount is the same.
