I'm thinking about getting a SS hood when spring rolls around but I know the way my stock hood as nicks galore on it. Any clear coatings or anything out there that protects against nicks and chips?

Plywood would work pretty good.

 

Nothing but covering the front will protect it from chips part of driving my friend.

 

I agree that nothing can be done about nicks on the hood unless you quit driving your car and stay off the highway.

 

I've heard that that works really well but I bet the 1,000 dollars only cover the parts covered by the clear bra and I doubt that covers the hood at all But if your that (230 bucks) worried aboput chips I say go for it
