What kind of sound quality would I get from an MTX 4250D amp and a single Alpine Type R 10" mounted in a stealthbox??My current setup uses the same amp but two ten inch MTX 6000.Only reason I am thinking of changing is to regain the t-top space of my car.Thanks.

Seems with losing half of your cone area that the max ouput would go down but it all depends on what type of music you listen too and how loud you like it. Try finding somebody with a similar combo and take a listen to it to see if it will work for you would be a good place to start.

If I remember correctly, I think LS1 Rulz on here has a 10" Alpine Type E or S over in the cubby area and if I recall correctly, with a 700 watt amp on it (MTX 6500D) he really likes it so maybe he'll chime in and let you know what he thinks when he sees this.
