My first race in an F-body.

About a month ago was my first real race in tha f-body. I raced a 02 or 03 Vett. We went from about a 80 mph role up to a little over 140 mph. He didn't pull over a car length on me the entire time. He gave me a thumbs up and got off the highway. I was dumb founded. I thought to myself ..... I just paid 7k for this z and he could have bought a whole garage full of these for what he couln't smoke me in. It made me feel good about my purchace b/c I was looking for a Rustang when I found the Z.

Makes you feel even better when you put a car lenght on him or more from a 50-90 roll. Thats what I did after letting a vette jump about half a car on me first. :D

my screw up steve. ill edit that one. for some reason i was thinking 92-93 even though its in black and white in front of me. however, my brother works for a toyota dealership buying used cars at auction and has passed on a 01 vette 50-something thousand miles for $16,300 starting price. it was against company policy though so he couldnt pick it up.

Well, the thing I can say to defend corvettes is that you pay for a lot more then speed, mostly the name. My dad has a 01 C5 and I love it. I wish I could have his car. It is the nicest put together car I have ever been in. I have driven it and man that thing has some big balls. But I just can't wait till the day where I can stand neck to neck with one. Good job.

Actually I would be worried about the Ligenfelter C5 personally but that is because I can't do 0-60 in under 2 seconds but if you can then I guess you shouldn't worry about anything;) .
