The only pic I saw looked like a zaped GTO, from what I've heard it will share same under pinning as the GTO.

Hopefuly It going to be a little cheeper being the Chevy version and have more options (wouldnt convertable be sweet? )

I saw chevy high performance in Winn Dixie I just got back. I just glanced at the cover and it said Chevelle SS and under it was a red with black striped car. If the car on the cover is the chevelle it looks like a caviler to me, I really didn't look at it though. They need to make a retro I would buy one :D

I think it would be so cool if it were retro like the 70 396SS:bow:

Give ford's new retro Mustang something:metal:

Yes a retro 70SS would kill the mustang in sales and looks. That would fill in a little gap from where the camaro was removed. As long as chevy is not like ford and makes a sweet concept then the production looks like $hi# I would be happy. They need to bring back the chevelle as a true retro not a modern retro.

It was a GTO that was pretty much Photoshopped to look like something else. It was not pics of a real car or even a one-off. GM had nothing to do with it, AFAIK. It was just the magazine's way of saying "what if?".

Nothing at all to get excited or hopeful about.

It was just a PhotoShop, nothing official.

Not being incredibly impressed by the rebadged "GTO" Monaro - I'll be even less so if they slap on some Chevelle stickers.

I like the look of it, especially the a@@ end. The dual exhaust looks great. It was done by Hod Rod magazine and CHP wanted to pass it on to us. They say to go to the website and tell them that you like it so they can pass it onto Chevrolet in attempts to see this in a showroom one day. Go to www.chevyhiperformance.com and let them know what you think.

Yup. It even says that on the very first page of the article. That little orange box to the left. ;)

Doesn't look good at all, IMO...

Yea, a car that looks like a 34 year old budget coupe would kill the Mustang in sales & looks.

Sure, the production $hi#-looking Mustang looks completely different than that sweet Mustang concept of last year too.

I get it, this thread & these guys came from the lounge, didn't they?

I think we ALL agree too retro, like the new Stang, just looks like they made a cheap modern copy of a very popular Muscle Car with very little effort spent..
An approach, like as the C6, is a more pleasant and welcome application of "retro" styling married with modern evolutions...
