Annoying whistle sound

Ever since I took of the whole stock airbox and just stuck a 3" filter onto the rubber elbow, there is an annoying whoosh/whislting sound. Is there any way to make it quiet without having to put the stock assembly back on.

thats the sound of the air entering the engine.. its normal when you modify the stock airbox.. i dont know of anything you could do about it..

oh btw if you have a filter on the elbow you are probably getting really hot air that is just as bad for performance as the stock airbox is

my friends 03 Cobra makes a whinning sound too. hers sounds like vtec got a hold of it. maybe your filter is a vtec product:D
