How will i stack up to an LS1??ChevyTuffD.A. 02-08-2004, 12:17 PM Mods in signature from a stop. Cahill93Z 02-08-2004, 12:24 PM well if it's stock you should beat it from a stop and a roll given that engine of yours any times on it? FastZinTennessee 02-08-2004, 12:26 PM If you didn't do any headwork or bigger cam you're gonna get beat from a roll. You should be able to take one from a stop though. Mikie 02-08-2004, 01:24 PM exactly what John said. The 2600 stall is a bit low for my taste as well. You will still take any LS1 thats stock off the line , but the stall will do nothing for roll on performance against an M6 LS1. Also the shorties you have are ok , but If I were you I would look into long tubes in the future. Get us some track times on that thing and it will help us help you. Sounds like a nice fast car though and you will still see some victories against stock LS1s like it is. Antz97ZNJ 02-08-2004, 05:54 PM You'll get pulled from a roll by a stock 6spd for sure kcamaro6 02-08-2004, 09:01 PM you have absolutely NO chance Ls1 is god:bow: jk;) SS69MAN 02-09-2004, 03:40 PM Sorry..........the LS1 will come out on top. Doesn't matter if you get him out of the hole................he is gonna suck you up from there on. Antz97ZNJ 02-10-2004, 02:24 AM Originally posted by Cahill93Z i disagree from a stop he will beat a stock ls1 Not a good running 323 or 6spd car, 2600 stall is extremely mild, I know I had one on my 97, plus hes running shorties...hell hold him til about 70 or 80 then bye bye LS1 SS69MAN 02-10-2004, 11:23 AM Originally posted by Cahill93Z i disagree from a stop he will beat a stock ls1 A 6 speed will chew him up. Does not matter if he gets him out of the hole the LS1 will still pass him. revtime 02-10-2004, 09:33 PM I agree that the LS1 would pull you up top but it will be close with a stock or lightly modified LS1. I have beaten several with my setup which is basically 3.73s, LTs, CAI, and programming. I have a stall and other stuff but the motor mods are not that many, the engine is stock internally with 137k on it. I usually pull out of the hole and hold it pretty good but I can see em creeping up on me once I hit 3rd. CamaroGuy22 02-10-2004, 10:59 PM How can you say he will get eat up by an LS1 when you dont know what the deal is on his engine? ZYAPONY 02-11-2004, 06:30 PM With those mods you would take a stock LS1 A4 all through the quarter!:) ChevyTuffD.A. 02-11-2004, 09:24 PM Thanks for all the reply's. I am very anxious to get this thing going. I want to have the fastest car at my school but the only thing i think standing is my way is a 99 Cobra with a pulley and chip, can I beat him???? ChevyTuffD.A. 02-11-2004, 09:27 PM I forgot to tell ya guys, this is a brand new motor. I dont even have the car running yet, so i dont have any track times or anything on it, but when she is running i plan on gettin to the track right after the break in. Thanks. I want to have the fastest car at my school but the only thing i think standing is my way is a 99 Cobra with a pulley and chip, can I beat him???? from a stop yes, the fastest car at my school is this lucky **** with a Saleen SC351 with a different pulley it's crankin out 500+ hp i have NO!!!! chance LOL mjb929rr 02-20-2004, 03:42 PM Better get some N2O... Ls1 will take you Moore94Z 02-20-2004, 09:41 PM You aren't rebuilding the motor and putting a stock cam back in, are you? Even if you did that I think you could take an LS1 with those mods. Back when my car was stock motored I could pull on stock LS1's from a roll or a dig, and a few lightly modded ones as well. I didn't have longtubes either. ChevyTuffD.A. 02-20-2004, 11:30 PM Well i didnt rebuild the motor, I bought one from Advanced Auto that was re-built. I got a 3 year warrenty on it so i didnt want to put a cam in there and take a chance of something happening. But when i get her broken in and i let some of the warrenty burn up then in pops a cam. CamaroGuy22 02-21-2004, 12:47 AM Originally posted by mjb929rr Better get some N2O... Ls1 will take you You dont need N20 to beat an LS1 MauriSSio 02-21-2004, 04:27 PM you should be REALLY close to an M6 LS1 but he'll pull you very slowly,so itll really come down to a drivers race, basically whoever floors it first (w traction) wins. You should be about dead even with the Cobra Nathan1234 02-22-2004, 01:45 PM I had a 95 Formula 'stripper' with near the same mods (no torque converter, it was manual) and I took a 30th Anniversary M6 by about a fender when he was bone stock. You will have a tough time with a lighter LS1. juiced_lt1 02-23-2004, 12:08 AM Originally posted by BiGGinZ Just get some spray and you wont even have to ask about a stock ls1 anymore. Get ENOUGH spray and you won't have to worry about a modded ls1 =) | ||
