Mods in signature from a stop.

well if it's stock you should beat it from a stop and a roll given that engine of yours any times on it?

If you didn't do any headwork or bigger cam you're gonna get beat from a roll. You should be able to take one from a stop though.

exactly what John said.
The 2600 stall is a bit low for my taste as well.
You will still take any LS1 thats stock off the line , but the stall will do nothing for roll on performance against an M6 LS1.
Also the shorties you have are ok , but If I were you I would look into long tubes in the future.
Get us some track times on that thing and it will help us help you.
Sounds like a nice fast car though and you will still see some victories against stock LS1s like it is.

You'll get pulled from a roll by a stock 6spd for sure

Sorry..........the LS1 will come out on top. Doesn't matter if you get him out of the hole................he is gonna suck you up from there on.

Just get some spray and you wont even have to ask about a stock ls1 anymore.

A 6 speed will chew him up. Does not matter if he gets him out of the hole the LS1 will still pass him.

I agree that the LS1 would pull you up top
but it will be close with a stock or lightly modified LS1.
I have beaten several with my setup which is basically 3.73s, LTs, CAI, and programming. I have a stall and other stuff but the motor mods are not that many, the engine is stock internally with 137k on it.
I usually pull out of the hole and hold it pretty good but I can see em creeping up on me once I hit 3rd.

How can you say he will get eat up by an LS1 when you dont know what the deal is on his engine?

With those mods you would take a stock LS1 A4 all through the quarter!:)

You aren't rebuilding the motor and putting a stock cam back in, are you? Even if you did that I think you could take an LS1 with those mods. Back when my car was stock motored I could pull on stock LS1's from a roll or a dig, and a few lightly modded ones as well. I didn't have longtubes either.

Well i didnt rebuild the motor, I bought one from Advanced Auto that was re-built. I got a 3 year warrenty on it so i didnt want to put a cam in there and take a chance of something happening. But when i get her broken in and i let some of the warrenty burn up then in pops a cam.

You dont need N20 to beat an LS1

you should be REALLY close to an M6 LS1 but he'll pull you very slowly,so itll really come down to a drivers race, basically whoever floors it first (w traction) wins. You should be about dead even with the Cobra

I had a 95 Formula 'stripper' with near the same mods (no torque converter, it was manual) and I took a 30th Anniversary M6 by about a fender when he was bone stock. You will have a tough time with a lighter LS1.

Get ENOUGH spray and you won't have to worry about a modded ls1 =)
