I think it looks good, interior looks real nice. I think Buick should have the most conservative designs out of all the GM divisions.

So it is getting the 3800 for the base engine and DOHC 3.6L VVT V6 for the optional. I think that is a good move. If it is going up against entry level Import cars it needs a DOHC engine. Using the 3800 instead of the 3.5L will help keep the car that much more different from the other new GM sedans. The 3800 is a good reliable engine that fits in with Buick nicely.

I think it is not bad.. should do well for a Buick.

I still think the front looks like 97ish Taurus, and now seeing the back, I am ironically reminded of todays' refreshed Taurus' backside.

The profile screams 2004 Grand Prix, not surprisingly.

I am a bit surprised the interior looks very different from the Grand Prix. It's a little bland here, though.

I am shocked that they did not use the Grand Prix steering wheel here, since it seem sit is showing up in what seems to be every other vehicle they are putting out...

I think it looks good and I am pleased with the car overall. I really like the front and think that the comparisons to the Taurus are unfair as no car should be compared to that thing. The rear is a little more bland than i would like but not bad. Once again, i really like the wheel choice and gives me confidence that GM is designing much better wheels across the board. The interior looks good too and it looks like a Buick. It's funny, the first thing I noticed in the interior is the steering wheel and how it is not the GP wheel. If one more vehicle had that wheel I would wonder why the hell can't GM use at least another design. Anyway, i think it's a good vehicle for Buick, especially for the price, and the use of the HF 3.6 is a good move too.

Isn't 3800 being phased out?

The front looks to me more like Jaguar than Taurus, but the rear end is definitely Taurus/Saturn L Series. Now that I think about it, the C pillar and rear doors/quarter windows remind me too much of Saturn.

Need to see this thing in real life to form an accurate opinion.

GMInsidenews.com has lots of Info.

Did anyone else notice that the 3800 series III gets better milage than the DOHC 3.6L V6. The 3800 series III is also classifed as a Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle.

Isn't that the exact same rating the hybrids get? That is extremely cool to me (the guy who wants his cake AND to eat it). Now give me some renewable fuels to fill the tank with.

This is VERY stlish, I think for a Buick. Very Jaguar like.

Cool

Looks kinda bland, but since it's probably not supposed to cause any stir anyway, I guess it's doing its job well. :blah:

Not sure about the GP, but I think the side shot has some Alero in it, too...

Interior look nice, though.

Good loking car and a really quality looking interior. Of course it's not a car that members on this site would do flips over, but I think it only needs RWD to compete with Lexus based on the pics.

I wonder what it looked like before the Lutz redesign.

Thumbs down

That looks incredibly like a late 90's Taurus.

Yeah, I saw some Taurs in the greenhouse too, maybe even a little Camry. I think that's a consequence (if you want to call it that) have needing a conservative, middle of the road design, expecially with a styled front end like that.

It does, IMO, flow very nicely. I didn't know Lutz ordered a redesign of this?
