Thats the car as it is now, it does have 17x11's in the rear. I'm debating whether to get the eibach prokit.

If I drop it the car may look slightly better, but is it worth it for the headaches of a stiffer ride, rubbing problems, worse traction???

Also, those with 17x11 with 315's who dropped it, are you guys 100% satisfied or wish you had kept it stock ride height??
Thanks for any input.

I have sportlines and i'm going to be running 11" ZR1's in the near future. I hope i dont run into any problems with the fenders rubbing.

Go for it. I love my car lowered, makes it look a lot meaner, better handling but a little less traction, You will need to do some other suspention mods to get your traction back

Drop it! Slightly better? No, TONS better. I have the Eibach Sportlines on mine and I love them. It really improves the appearance of your car greatly. As for the stiffer ride, traction problems, and rubbing; I haven't noticed any of them. My car rides fine. I have the 17's also, and I don't have any rubbing. Your tires are a lot wider than mine though. I have 275's. You might experience SOME rubbing. That's the only issue I would be concerned with.

If you do it and actually want a spring that improves looks AND performance, dont get the sportlines......stick with the pro kit like you are considering. Sportlines are pretty low and are not a performance spring...basically looks only. And like cheese48 said, you should get new shocks when/if you do the springs.

I agree! i know first hand how bad of a mistake i made getting sportlines are.

Yea it looked sweet, but i couldnt literally put my hand in between the tire and the wheel well. This was also a completly stock suspension too. So i changed from sportlines, to a set of QA1 shocks :)

I would agree with some of the statements above. Drop it but stick with the pro kit. My brother dropped his SS with the pro kit and said the ride was horrible. Now he has DMS springs which drop the car about the same as the Pro Kit-looks good and rides good-he's got 315's on it too.

Your car is the color I wanted with the stripes, but couldnt find something like it so I settled for black.

You need shocks/struts when you do springs....anyone who doesnt do that is asking for a crappy ride....

Thanks for the feedback guys. If I do drop it, I'll do everything at once so I'll have to get the pro-kit, the lower control arm relocation brackets, shocks, and an adj. panhard bar. One concern for me is the bump stops, to fit in the 315's I had to completely remove them, I'm running without them now. Now, if I'm lowered with a pro-kit will I have any problems as far as hitting big bumps and having the axle come up and the tires hitting the fenders?? Stock ride height I don't have to worry about it, lowered though, not sure. I'll have to look into it this further, anyone running with the pro-kit hit their bumpstops when they are running 17's???

BTW, here's another recent pic

Lowering the car will put the bump stop inside the wheels and will only cause a problem when the axle is dropped, like jacking the car up from the frame and letting the axle hang down.

I have 17s, Pro Kit, and Bilstein HDs.....only time i've ever hit the bump stops was once when i hit a HUGE pothole that i probably should have slowed down for anyway

I wouldnt worry about it as long as you get decent shocks
