If you don't like the way the LT1 cars look maybe you should sell it and get what you really want ;) . Instead of trying to full people into thinking you have a LS1  .

It's a matter of personal preference, I like my LT1 b/c it's paid for, I don't need no more payments for anything and I have already invested money in my motor and have a block that will be prepped this summer for my 383 stroker with some NOS :D
and I'm not trying to fool anyone that it's an LS1, I think the LS1 has a modern muscle car appearance. I can see that hate  coming already.

Yeah, you are probably right, but since I have connections in the body shop industry and paid next to nothing for the whole job and my front end was in need of repair.....voila new front end.

I guess it's much cheaper than buying an LS1. *shrug*

Can't wait to see pics of it when it's completed. :)

You have the meanest looking LT1 I have ever seen.
Those wheels and the hood are the key!
Looks like you went thru a couple of hiccups to get it where it is today....congrats!

Sweet, are you doing it yourself or are you having a shop do it? My conversion was a huge PITA.

Got a shop working on it.
What was the hardest part?

I have a difficult time understanding why a person would turn a LT1 front end into a LS1........
I bought my LT1 because it was the last year for that front end.

I would have rather rad an LS1 under the hood but I couldn't live with the fish face........

To each their own........:)

In hindsight - I should have bought an LS1 and coverted the front to the LT1 style.

I am sure you will like it and I trust it will come out mint......

But an LS1 clip without an LS1 will mean more than a few embarrassing moments you may have when fbody people look at your car. A well done body and paint job to an lt1 F-body won't suffer in looks to an ls1 fbody.

However, I am wishing the best for you with your project. Good luck.

Nah, I don't get embarrassed easy. I don't see what the big deal is really. A buddy of mine changed his over and people gave him thumbs up (fbody ls1 owners included) Another buddy of mine has a 95 Tahoe and changed it to look like the First Gen Escalades and he got thumbs up too.
I see nothing wrong with updating the look of the car. A lot of guys like the LT1 front and vice versa. I happend to like the LS1 front end. I am not trying to fool anyone either, matter of fact I will put 9TEEN93 license plate before my birthday in May. If we worried about what others thought in this world we would not be where we are today. But you have the right to voice your opinion and it's heard. Thanks
