Hey guys...I have been doing research on Z hoods. I should have a Z. (sson). Well I was interested in putting on the Z-Roc hood when i get the car. The only place I have found this hood was atFiberglass Fabrictarors.

I was wondering how good of quality these hoods are.. as far as if it scratches, chips, stuff like that. Has anyone purchases a hood from here? I'm kinda new in the F-Body Business so any information that you guy s could give me would help out a bunch. Thank you all for your time.

Hey i also looked into those hoods.
I heard that some people get problems fitting the hoods up and others dont..

Well I have a black 94 Camaro with the Zroc hood and it doesnt really fit right but it fits . No one can tell that the hood really doesnt fit, but it looks awesome to me and everyone that has seen my car . The chicks love me car and nobody has ever told me my car is ugly in person. When people on the streets see my car their jaws drop !!! alot of people on this web sight dont really like the hood ....but then again some people do like it . I say you get the hood , because it is totally worth it .

 

I totally love this hood, but to make it look better, you need to offset it with ground effects so your car looks balanced.

 

Thanks for the replies as far as when you say it doesn't fit right...does it sit crooked on ur car or something....i love the hood as well...How much did you pay to get it painted as well. Thanks for the reply hoep to talk to ya soon. If no one can really tell its crooked im gunna go with it. Who did you have put it on as well? Thanks all!

That is where I got my hood . The hood sits fine on the car , no one can tell that it doesnt fit. I got my car painted black and the dents taken out and they put new front cap and rear bumper on my car for 2,800. I got my car painted at a body shop called Eddy's.

 

Thanks...the other place has it for $329.00 but i believe you have to pay $100 for shipping.. I'm not sure the shipping for AmericanSportsCars...As far as quality goes. Do you guys know which is a better quality between the 2 hoods? all help is appreciated.

 

I have one, I really like it, it's different and it definately gets noticed. I got one from thunderracing, they were really cool. It cost me about $200.00 for painting and fitting.

 

Personally, it's my least favorite hood for camaros except for the one that looks like a ws6 hood. I just don't like the stinger it has. I don't think it flows with the lines of the car well. Like said above though, it definitely looks better with gfx.

As far as the right choice, if that's what you like then it's right I'm sure some people don't like my car but I don't care
