guys with 99 to 00 Ls1 camaros and trans am what are u running stock in the 1/4 mile?zo6vette 01-30-2004, 07:25 PM just curious what times u guys have with your stock or slightly modified LS1 with exhaust and air lid? SSpdDmon 01-30-2004, 10:56 PM I've seen 99's running 13.4's~13.8's (stock) depending on the model (conv. f-bodies tend to be a little slower). With a lid & catback, I went 13.6 (short shifting @ 5500rpm + 95 deg. humid weather) in Englishtown a few years ago. My guess is there was at least another .2 seconds I could have shaved off the run given a better launch, better weather & 6000rpm shifts. But, I had to drive the car home...so I didn't wanna risk breakin' nothing. AL SS590 M6 01-31-2004, 01:16 AM best stock was 13.4s with a lid and loudmouth 12.96 Now I run what is in the sig. z28chrizz 01-31-2004, 03:55 AM sig times are stock... on a 2.2 60' ... my car might even have 12's now with a real good launch ;) DanBUCF 01-31-2004, 12:09 PM Check out this time slip... http://www.mustangmods.com/data/5431/dsc01697.jpg My dad's car is a 2000 SS Convertible with a Lid and the SLP CME factory exhaust. Being that his car is a convertible, I'm pretty sure it weighs in about 200 pounds more than you're average non-convertible LS1 F-body. Anyways, that was his best run...he is generally in the low 13.3's. -Dan Klypto 01-31-2004, 09:55 PM i ran 13.544 @ 104.87 stock EVERYTHING cept tires (nitto 245/50/16) and clutch is slipping just a little... slipped a little in 1st,and a TINY bit of 2nd r/t .074 60' 2.102 330 5.869 1/8 8.862 MPH 82.65 1000' 11.386 1/4 13.544 MPH 104.87 NPR 1/7/04 9:46pm cory Mikie 02-01-2004, 10:15 AM 13.12 @ 106 for me Bone stock. He was asking 99's & 00's. ;) Mikie 02-01-2004, 12:03 PM Ooops, Damn, you are right. Reading is fundemental ...something I cant do...lol :D Jilly 02-01-2004, 10:20 PM Well, this probably won't help you much since I've only been on a 1/8 track but I ran 9.008 at 80 mph with a 2.1 60 ft, and that was when my car was stock. I haven't been to the track since I got my lid, or shift kit installed. Keiii 02-01-2004, 10:40 PM I have seen 3 different 99's run 13.3 m6 - lid and exhaust mods 13.6 m6 - totally stock 13.8 A4 - Lid and exhaust (2.73 gears) speedy0009 02-26-2004, 09:48 PM time in the sig also. dead stock 13.21 with 2.18 06' 1stls1 02-26-2004, 11:30 PM 13.625 @102mph w/ 2.077 60' time. All stock!245/60/16 tires, special note,I'm in FL,humidity capital!! 1stls1 02-26-2004, 11:32 PM oh,yeah, t-tops ZZed 02-27-2004, 02:06 PM See sig. Only "mod" is a K & N air filter. All else is stock, even tires. Elevation is around 630'. Temp was high 70's. Slightly humid, but not enough to choke you. Race weight was 3620. Shallow stage. Trans left in D. It is an NHRA track with excellent prep. No noticable wind. Temperature and humidity affect these cars. On a hot and humid day, I have trouble breaking into the 13.50s. Traps are between 101 and 104. I often went out with my son and raced...I was a bit slower reaction-wise. Man, if you could improve your short time a bit, you woud be turning some nice times. Ever thought about ET Drags?... LeadSled1 02-28-2004, 07:04 PM My 99 Z28 A4 13.80 @ 100.80. I had one of the slowest ones around. Now last night I ran my stock 01 WS6 for the first time: 2.3 60' 13.41 @ 109.48 mph. No track prep since it was street night. Some of the earlier cars run just as strong. They are all different and I definately suggest test driving one before you buy it. Some are just dogs in LS1 terms and some are animals like the one I have now. The FLP LTs were added later and I have not yet dynoed with them. Sorry for the confusion, but i figured i would leave my highest dyno #'s thus far. I would be too afraid to use ET drags on a regular basis with my stock 10 bolt. The 1.88 60' was on nitto drag radials. I think thats a pretty good 60' time for a stock suspension M6 car....of course I would like to improve on it, but I just don't see too much improvment unless I am at either at a stickier track or do some more mods. (Waiting on tax returns :D ) I'm dead positive the car has a 12.5 in it, possibly even a 12.4 but we shall see. Those would be pretty impressive numbers for a car with completely stock internals, stock gears, no headers, factory cats, stock suspension, no weight reduction, etc...just a set of drag radials, a little intake/exhaust work, and a stronger replacment clutch. mrr23 02-29-2004, 12:57 PM http://www.stealthram.com/99formulamods.html auto 3.23 stock 13.560 @ 103 added borla 13.17 @ 105.73 dyno also on that page. 99snkklr 02-29-2004, 07:50 PM My Ws6 with mods of: cutout, hood baffles removed, K & N filter, and PSEC stage 3 carbon clutch, ran 13.1.
