True Duals or Single?

Yo

I know this has been talked about, and i'm sorry for bringing it up again... but I want to ask myself.

I'm really looking hard for the perfect exhaust. I want a nice deep roar, but nothing to loud where I can't go over 3k without getting pulled over.

I am looking at the Jet Hots/Pacesetters, ORY, and Loudmouth... or Corsa. That sounds real sick to me, but I heard some true duals and holy christ!! Same with the Pacesetters/Loudmouth...

What i'm asking is... a few things actually.

Whats the difference between hp and torque gains?

What would be easier trying to find my perfect sound?

Should I go true duals or just stick it out the Single cat? Thanks fellas...

If you don't want to get pulled over.....some things to stay away from:

Long Tube headers with ORY

and

ORY with Loudmouth.

Basically if you take out cats, you will draw attention from police. You may not get pulled over (right away) but they will notice.

LT's, orp and LM is definatly in the relm of "get pulled over"

i would stick with a regular mufflered catback, and have a cutout installed (or 2) for track days or times you just wanna make noise.

But I want LT's for sure, I want the hp gains.

Is everything else i'm having troubles with. I downloaded like 10 different LS1 setups and my favorite always is the Jet Hots and Loudmouth setup, doesn't say what kind of y pipe.

How about the Dynomouth setup? Is that really loud? The Loudmouth Exhaust with the Dynomax muffler? I have a clip of someone's Camaro and it sounds pretty sick.

How loud would the Corsa be with LT's? They clip on their website is freakin... omg. L0L

Still wondering about the true duals too.

LT's are fine, and most everyone just used a pre-fabbed or custom Ypipe with no cats...so those aren't gonna change the sound. only cats would do that.

i've heard LT's and true duals with just bullets...and it's LOUD. no way i would want to drive everyday with that!

and my stock manifolds, offroad pipe and magnaflow sounds pretty mean, reasonable but aggressive around town, NO problem cruising on the highway and just dwon right SICK at full throttle.

i think you'll be very please with any good high flow muffler, Corsa, GMMG or Magnaflow (cheaper but good)

Here's my understanding of all the setups:

Like said above, if you don't want insanely loud, don't have a loudmouth unless you still have cats. LT's straight to a LM will be loud as sh*t, plus fairly raspy. And you said you don't wanna get pulled over... this setup will get you just that.

Corsa, IMO, is overrated. It's a nice sound and all, but just like Borla, it has some raspyness (is that a word  ) Plus it's expensive, that's never good. If you have money to dump into Corsa, you most likely have enough to dump into a dual setup.

For true duals, any header will work. A lot of people go with Bullets, but that will probably be too loud for you (I've never heard it in person) So you'll want something quieter. Depending on whether or not you're dumping before the axles, you might have issues fitting two normal mufflers under the car.

So yeah, from what you said, either go true duals with two quiet mufflers (it'll still roar at WOT); LT's, ORY, and anything but LM; LT's, catted Y, LM.

Macs or pacesetter with ory and a magnaflow cat back sounds really good and they are great buys for the money. Duals will add some weight to your car but do sound bad ass, to me not worth the money , if it was a drag car I might consider it.

A dual system can be built for the price of a MAgnaflow catback, and if it's dumped at the axle it will not be heavier than a standard catback.

Yo

So if I go, Pacesetter LT's/Jet Hots, Off Road Y, and a Magnaflow catback... It'll keep my volume quieter then the LM and keep my awesome sound PLUS good hp gains... I know the Magnaflow sounds awesome, it just becomes an issue with volume and hp gains... thanks fellas.

answer:

YES

around town if you keep it under 3k it will sound badass but not be obnoxiously loud..

only when you go WOT will it really scream

I have headers, off road y pipe, loud mouth exhaust........ And ported heads. :metal: Loud, but not excessive loud. LS1s are naturially quiet, ive heard stock mustangs with just flowmaster mufflers louder.
