Used SLP Bilsteins worthwhile?

I'm thinking about a set of used bilsteins off of a Firehawk with about 50,000 miles on them. The price is definately right but.......

Would it be worth the hassle and cost to swap these in place of the stock shocks I have with only 17,000 miles?

I've got the "regular" suspension on my SS and have a STB with plans for subframe connectors.

Don't do any racing (other than 1/4 mile), but I kind of miss the way my 85 Corvette was able to take corners (like riding on rails :thumb: ) .

Will I see any appreciable difference on the street with 50,000 SLP Bilsteins with no other mods (springs, sway bars), or should I save my money?

You could have them rebuilt to any way you wish. Bilsteins are the best thing out there and you can make them even better by getting rebuilt better then they were stock. but i would not buy them and put them on. 50,000 is too much for a shock.

what springs do you plan on using?
