I just got and installed Toyo RA1s. Its an 'R' compound thats very streetable (wear indicator of 40). I've read reviews and all were positive. They guy I bought them from raced the World Challenge series for a while (not in a Camaro). Supposed to have good feedback and breakaway characteristics (no hold.. hold.. hold.. SLIP! like a slick would). On a smooth concrete floor, leaning about 30lbs of weight on the tire I could not rotate it left or right. Seemed to grab very well http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif This car isnt a daily driver and I put about 2-3k miles a year on it, so I think they will last me to next spring. Kind of a shame to spend what I have in suspension mods and have the tires let them slip away.
The tires he talked me out of were the Nitto NT-555s.
