I just installed Spohn adjustable LCA's and panhard bar. How should I adjust these to best help 1/4 mile times? Lengthen? Shorten?
Thanks,
Aaron

How to adjust LCA's for the track?snksknr94 06-02-2002, 05:49 PM I just installed Spohn adjustable LCA's and panhard bar. How should I adjust these to best help 1/4 mile times? Lengthen? Shorten? Thanks, Aaron LPEdave 06-02-2002, 06:10 PM You may want to post in the drag racing section, but I've never heard of shortening or lengthening LCA's for drag racing purposes. Dropping them lower on LCA brackets, yes. I guess it must just be mainly to keep the suspension in geometry. auto-Xer 06-04-2002, 10:18 AM I think by moving them back farther (increasing their length), you can get a more negative pinion angle on the torque arm preloading it more. That could be good for drag racing, but this is just a guess. --Kevin LPEdave 06-05-2002, 12:14 AM <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by auto-Xer: I think by moving them back farther (increasing their length), you can get a more negative pinion angle on the torque arm preloading it more. Lengthening the LCA's would move your axle toward the rear... Dave 96z 06-14-2002, 09:47 PM Adjustable LCA's are mostly used to center a larger tire in the wheel well namely drag slicks. ------------------ 96 black Z28 A4 GTP stage II heads, GTP 226/230 cam, 11:1 CR, Pro Torque 2800 TC, Tranny cooler, 3.42, 1.6 rr, Holley 58mm TB, Hooker LT's, SLP CAI, cutout, Flowmaster, Wolfe cage, Carrera's, 5 point belts Mattucci Motorsports WNYFA FLFB Pics (http://community.webshots.com/user/mattscamaroz28) Anybody else need earplugs when they drive???? | ||
