Well, I finally found someone who will install my Hotchkis springs (1" drop). I bought them on a gp 2 years ago and have been sitting on them because no one would touch them. My question is will I need to get the car aligned after the drop? If so, what are the recommended settings I should tell the tech? or should I just let him figure it out? thnx

Yes, you should get an alignment after the install. The specs kind of depend on what you're doing with the car. If it's a street car, you could just have it set to the stock alignment. But if you're taking the car onto the track, or want a bit better handling, you'd want to put some camber into it (-1 degree, more if you're running mostly on the track), then as much caster as you can, and zero toe.

I just had mine aligned this morning to -1.4 camber, 3.7 caster, zero toe. It's a track-only car.

I just had my Z aligned a couple of weeks ago. I had then set it to

-1 camber; +3 caster ; 0 toe

This truly made a seat-of-the-pants difference in handling. I only wish i did it sooner!

My Z is mostly a daily driver, and doesn't see any track time, by the way.
