I have a 84' Z28 H.O. L69 with a 700R4 and 3.73 open diff. I am going to replace the cam, add some headers, high flow cat, flowmaster catback. My question is about what size cam should I get to give me a decent amount of performance but is still 50 state legal (I live in Cali.)
My current cam is stock and the size is:
Lift
Int. Exh.
.403 .415
Duration
Int. Exh.
.202 .206
Lobe
Separation
114.5
Rocker
Arm Ratio
(115/-114)

You sure about that?
What heads do you have or are you using stock heads? Changing anything in the induction?

Bear with me for a second please...:)
Don't people in SMOG states like California take their car to the sniffer, pass...then go home and put a better(aka: not so "legal") cam in and then just take it back out for the next test? Am I missing something here or not? Passing emissions will be hard enough with a stock cammed L69 I'm guessing so I won't reccomend anything. sorry:D

Actually no, I got the info from 3rdgen.org. I just copied and pasted. Yes the heads are stock. Not changing anything in the induction yet.

I thought rockers were expressed as 1.5 or 1.6 etc ratio?
