I purchased those pads for $165 couple months ago pads (http://www.lmperformance.com/704/2.html) . Now my mechanic is telling me that those pads are too strong for the street car and I shouldn’t use them in my car. Is that true? I purchased those pads because my friend told me that they will work as well as LS1 brake upgrade. Now I am confused. I am not doing any autocross or drag racing (100% street car), and I don’t know if it will be any good to put those brake pads n my car. What you guys think...
Thanks
Ps. BTW I am selling them for $120…

When I first got my car it was a T2 car, stock LT style brakes on it with Hawk Blues. I ran that on the street w/o any problems. They did squeel a little bit when cold but nothing too bad. They do chew up rotors and wear quite fast compaired to a OE pad but you certainly can use them.

The Hawk blue's are really more of a track pad than anything else. I suppose you could run them on the street but since they would enver get them up to temp that way its going to be hell on your rotors. I've also been told the dust from the blues is nearly impossible to get off your wheels/paint if it happens to get wet.

IMO sell/trade them for something else. If you want an aggressive street pad look at the Hawk HP+.

Yes the dust is bad and very corosive. If your not doing track is isn't worth keeping them but you could use them if needed.
