Orange Stripes on Green Car???

I've got Black stripes and decals on the car now, been there for about 9 months and I think they look kind of dull and don't stand out much at all, I'm thinking of replacing them with yellow or hugger orange. I guess silver would be be okay but I don't want it to look like white and if the color is too dark them it won't stand out. So first I want to consider orange or yellow, anybody ever seen this before or have any other ideas? Maybe the black will look good again in the spring when the earth is closer to the sun and the natural light is more intense. What's most difficult about the brighter colors is getting the highlights balanced over the car, if you do it wrong the car looks akward. I'm thinking that the yellow would contrast less with the green but then the orange is a darker color so it's a hard choice.

I've thought of gold stripes and I think they would look great but I have chrome wheels and that would look getto, I wouldn't mind having gold wheels though, it would look good.

green is a hard color to work with. I think its either black or nothing

Green/silver looks good. I've seen a green/greenish yellow before too that wasn't that bad. Just please don't do green and red. :o

I would leave the stripes off and if you really need stripes, then get a car with an easier color to work with.

I think green and silver would look good. I think the orange would look good on white or black cars. I was thinking on getting the orange stripes as well I already have my Z badges in Chey orange

I've seen orange on blue too and it didn't look too bad.

Really though, if you just have to have stripes on a green car, I think silver would look the best.

Sometimes having a car that "stands out" (color wise) isn't always good. Its the things that doesn't catch a person's eye at first and then they have to take a second glance, because they thought they saw something. That's what's cool, I think.

i also have a green car (which is getting ready to turn to an extremely dark, almost black, green car) and ive got silver side badges and it looks pretty ggod in my opinion...ive saw a green camaro with cowl hood with silver racing stripes on it and it also looked good, but i think green and gold or green and yellow would look to much like a john deer... i would go with either silver or white!

My next project car is going to be John Deere Green with yellow stripes... My Uncle would probably like that.

orange on green would not look good IMO. I'd stay away from that color combo.

Orange stripes on a green car will not look good.

If you absolutely have to have stripes, I'd go with black, maybe silver.

you know..on the 25th anniversary heritage edition rs's they had green with gold stripes and gold accented wheels (tannish gold top if convertible)
those look really good, andi t's factory
although it's on a 3rd gen, i still think gold and green look nice
green and silver look good though if you have silver wheels

i actually saw a heritage edition green/gold rs a year or 2 ago...wow, good looking car:bow:

I think you should either go with black or silver. I"m not sure why you're against looking white, but that would look good too IMO.

STAY AWAY FROM ORANGE OR YELLOW!! Too much color = :yuck:

Green and white would look good, but definately not orange unless you're going for the pumpkin look.

i have a polo green camaro - i'm goin to put silver stripes on it

however, i have seen a 3rd gen with gold stripes and it looked hot. he also had his rims spray painted or colored gold somehow as well. if you just did the gold stripes w/o the rims, it would look ghetto.

On second thought I guess green and white would look pretty good, I would go with gold in a second but i bought new chrome wheels about 6 months ago. I've seen the 3rd gens with gold, they did look good. I think I'm turned off on the orange and yellow too. I'm worried that silver or white would be over whemling. I still need to think about it, got a few months before I can put them on anyway.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts.

I've seen the silver hocky sticks on a polo green and it looked BADASS. White might be too much contrast (really a preference issue). Black might be OK, but hard to see and no "night-time" appeal (again IMO).

Orange or yellow? OMG NO!!!!!! :)
Gold? Well, you could call it the "Luckycharmsmobile" (j/k)

Just make sure you have a reasonable idea of what it'll look like and then buy what floats YOUR boat. Post pictures too.
