I am trying to meet some f-body people who live close to me. I live in the Roswell/Alpharetta area. I know its short notice but myself and some buddies are going to be hanging out in the North Point area tomorrow(Sunday) night. If you are close and want to meet some new people who are into cars, you are more than welcome to join us. How has Commerce been this year? I have not gone at all so far. Is it still really conjested? I am waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before i go back anywhere to race.

 

Well, I have only been once and that was in May but I got 10 runs in which I was happy with. I hope its not too bad this Friday but as of now it looks like rain in the forcast but all of that can change. Maybe it will all pass up and drop a nice big cold front on us. I will be sure to let you know how the track conditions and how crowded it is when I get back. Also, I hope to have some new best times.

Yeah, I'd like to hear how the track went if you ended up going. Also, what cars do the people have that you are going with or hang around? Tomorrow night, a few of us might get together for a little friendly racing.

 

SNEAKY NEIL, The track was pretty cool other than the fact that when I got into the tech line, my car died. My alternator went out then and there and my night was over. Its alright because it was crowded and everyone only got about 4 runs in at most. There were, including me, 6 people went to the track. 2 T/A's, a honda civic , a fox body 5.0, 99 GT, and my car. Thats about a normal get-together with us. There are occacionally a couple more but thats it normally. I will be sure to let you know about our next get-together and maybe we can meet up. Sorry to hear that about your car. What were you hopeing for at the track? Are those other cars modded or stock? I think it would be pretty cool to get together sometime.

 

I was hoping for a very low 14 but I guess Ill have to wait to find out. The Honda doesnt count but yes they are modded. One of the T/A's is a 97 WS6 with a 396 stroker motor pushin 400 to the ground. All he could get was a 13.6 due to crappy track prep but managed to trap at 108. The fox body 5.0 is a head/cam, GT40 block bored to 306. It ran a 14.5 making it a 5.slow. The 99 GT has all the little bolt-ons with Hoosier slicks. He is very fast on the street but was dissapointed with a 13.6 on friday. The other T/A is a 02 with intake and exhaust and he got a 13.8. Everyone was running slow so those #s arent too great but all in all, it was fun. Im still busy trying to find out what the problem is with my car but as soon as its fixed, we are going back. Ill be sure to let you know and we should meet up. See you soon.

We are thinking of getting a few people together this Saturday night. For sure we will have my car, PanZ28's car(97' Z stock), and a 98' WS6 with bolt-ons. There might also be a 98' SS with bolt-ons. Anyway, if you are interested, maybe we can all get together. Later.

Seth, yea, its the mustang that we all made a fuss over and it turned out to be a whole lot of nothing really. I just found out the he even has at least 3.73's, maybe even 4.10's. Oh well, he has some big plans for it so it will be faster the next time we go to the track. See you later.
