best program to read codes on OBDI?

I'm using Free Scan. Is it any good for code reading?

Is Data Master better?

You mean all you want to do is read the DTC codes? Virtually anything that can scan the PCM will come up with the correct codes.... what are you looking for that FreeScan can't do? It reports them and can reset the PCM.
