I wouldn't be surprised for the Ion to get the Chevy Cobalts dash and interior bits since it's getting rave reviews.
quote from saturnfan.com:
"SaturnFans.com has learned that at a press conference earlier this week, Gary Cowger, GM President of North America, hinted that GM plans to "change" the ION later this year. While Cowger did not elaborate as to what changes are coming for the 2005 model year, interior and exterior updates are likely in store. Whether or not this means an end to the ION's controversial center-mounted instrument cluster is not yet known. In addition, Saturn will reportedly offer an optional 170-hp Ecotec 2.4L engine in uplevel models. The current 2.2L 140-hp engine will continue to be the standard powerplant. "
