time to flush the radiator?98formyws6 01-06-2004, 07:51 PM i checked my coolant the other day and well it was pretty nasty (really gunky) making me believe its time to flush her out. my question is how much dexcool would i need. thanks SpecForceZ28 01-06-2004, 08:29 PM a mixture of 50% distilled water, and 50% of the dex-cool coolant. camaro322hp 01-06-2004, 08:55 PM i think he was asking how much dex cool to buy... i'd like to know this too... ChickenScreamer94 01-06-2004, 09:46 PM i would buy two jugs of coolant (dont know the word at this moment)... you know what i mean though. That and two gallons of DISTILLEd water. Should be enough, if you are only doing the radiator. Look up specifications and capacities. It tells how much of everything goes in every hole. mitchntx 01-07-2004, 06:01 AM After draining the radiator, changing out the hoses (you are gonna change out the hoses after going to all this trouble aren't you?) and removing and cleaning the overflow tank, 1 gallon of Dexcool and 1 gallon of distilled water should be sufficient. | ||
