I'd like to see what some key people have to say about this pic.

I like it a lot. I wish we had a pic of the front but oh well. As the writing says, I believe this to be the 05' and not the all new 07' model. It just doesn't look like a total remake.

I like the wheels and the flared fenders. I would also like to see the cladded version of this truck as I like both versions currently. It looks like it has some fog lights in the front bumper as well.

At first glance I thought it looked like a Ford. I like the styling. The truck looks clean.

It looks like a Tahoe with a pickup bed. Not very impressive if you ask me. :p

I like the cleaner less busy look.:thumb:

Interesting to read... but I hope the leakers get sued for photographing and publishing private information. Shouldn't be too hard to track them down...

The thing I do not like about the current cladless Avalanche is that, IMO, it looses that "beefy" look... this one seems to gain it back without the use of cladding... for that, I'll give it a :thumb:

looks good but i wish every car manufacturer would stop making these kind of upscale trucks. Avalanche, new f-150, ect. all they are yuppy trucks. they serve no real purpose other than making people appear richer than they are.

ranting aside, it doesnt look too bad. i like this one alot more than the current model and a TON more than the cladded one.

Actually, it puts people who have no use of a truck in a bigger vehicle than they need. The only people that I see use trucks are contractors and a few people who ride/hike etc. etc. Other than that, every other SUV/SUT/Lowered Pickup isn't hauling a damn thing but a driver who is eating a Big Mac, talking on their cellphone, watching a DVD, reading a magazine making, and making a left hand turn at a ****ing red light.

I think it looks better than the current Avalanche. One gripe I've always had with the Avalanche is that the rear wheels look like they need to be moved toward the rear of the vehicle about 6 inches.

That looks a lot like a concept of the SUT from Dodge that I saw.

I hate the fact that trucks now have shorter time periods between facelifts/remodeling than a lot of cars.

Since trucks/SUV are the biggest most competive market I guess its to be expected

I'd like to see the interior shots too.. Ford's new F150's interior raised the bar, and thats probably what draws alot of people in now... Are they bringing out a new chassis too? Although I bet a few tweaks it can probably compete well..

I think my gf would like this new one better, because she always said the current ones look like ugly lego trucks.


And about this "yupie truck driving" hiting.. Don't forget some people need a truck to tow their boats,rv's, camping, sports stuff around.. obviously they don't do this every day, so the truck/suv has to double as a daily driver... Besides, the same argument can be said about muscle and sport cars.. who needs that power? Maybe we should all be driving hybrid diesel cars.. or better yet, mass transportation... :rolleyes:

I would never drive mass transportation. I bet it pays a fraction of what I make now ...

If they could find a way to get rid of those ugly roll bar type things..........it could be considered good looking by me..........

Well put. How about this combination: you need a large SUV to tow a trailer with your MUSCLE car to the racetrack? He he he.

You do make a good point. We don't shout exotic / sports cars out to the racetrack, and I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with SUVs being off-road vehicles only.

I like it alot better than the current avalanche. The current one with cladding is terrible and the one with out cladding is ok. But the current one needs larger wheels/tires. That truck look sso big, but than he wheels look so small.

As for why I have a Tahoe? My wife was complaining that there isn't enough elbow room in our old Blazer. I can tell you that it has come in handy with moving my oldest off to college, and hauling around the kids' basketball teams. However as little as I use the third row seat, a pickup bed in back would be more practical. While I like the look of the original Avalanche, I don't need (or want) 4WD, so I don't necessarily like the aggressive look of the side cladding. This is actually more my style, but its more Tahoe XUT than Avalance IMO.

What I really want/need and would by is a Tahoe with a third row seat that folds flat, PLUS the retractable roof & rear divider of the Envoy XUV...

Give me that Chevrolet, and I'll buy it in a heartbeat! :D
