Not *AS* bad as I expected. Exterior is nice, but I can't force myself to like the interior.

Pontiac G6 picscmc 01-05-2004, 12:06 AM Not *AS* bad as I expected. Exterior is nice, but I can't force myself to like the interior. http://tinyurl.com/36w25 (wieck.com) formula79 01-05-2004, 12:17 AM Here is more... No you don't have to register http://www.gminsidenews.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3231 My favorite is the sunroof... http://www.sub300.com/gm/g6roof.gif cmc 01-05-2004, 12:19 AM They're the same. :) formula79 01-05-2004, 12:20 AM Also gotta love this... All-new family of performance oriented powertrains, including a 170-horsepower HO 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder, 200-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and 240-horsepower HO 3.9-liter V-6 That means the G6 GT will have 240 HP....quite a bump over the current Grand Am GT. Also rumor has it the GXP coupe will have a 270 HP 3 Valve 3.9L. formula79 01-05-2004, 12:22 AM Opps...sorry...didn;t see the other 4 pages... well least we made a cool animation of the sunroof:p cmc 01-05-2004, 12:23 AM Is 3V supposed to be on all the GM pushrod engines over the next few years? The one that said "LS2 heads" was of a BBC with the 3V, and now there's more rumors of the HV-V6 engines getting it... guionM 01-05-2004, 02:02 AM Where's the coupe?? :( 305fan 01-05-2004, 02:17 AM http://www.canadiandriver.com/news/040105-1.htm Okay after seeing thses pics its better then that scanned one. I think the GT will have the 200hp 3500 V6. Not big enough jump for my tastes. Hopefully some kind of "Ram Air" treatement (intake, exhaust) and axle ratio will appplied here to differentate itself from the regular G6's. 210hp would be better. Hey its GM--I don't expect too much ;)\ The "GT" should get the 240hp and the GTP (GPX) 270hp. stars1010 01-05-2004, 02:25 AM That car does nothing for me.:( SFireGT98 01-05-2004, 05:02 AM Not bad, I actually like the exterior alot. Now I wonder what how the coupe and vert will look. Z28x 01-05-2004, 07:15 AM GT = 200HP 3.5L GTP = 240HP 3.9L (with optional 6 speed manual:bow: ) GXP = 285HP S/C 3.5L ???? Nice to see it is avalible with 17" rims on the GT and optional 18" on the GTP 20 OZ 01-05-2004, 08:05 AM Any word on when we can expect the AWD option? Darth Xed 01-05-2004, 08:32 AM The more I see this car, the more I am reminded of a smoothed over last generation Dodge Startus/Chrysler Cirrus/Plymouth Breeze. It's OK, but nothing stunning to look at. SNEAKY NEIL 01-05-2004, 08:32 AM Originally posted by Z28x GT = 200HP 3.5L GTP = 240HP 3.9L (with optional 6 speed manual:bow: ) GXP = 285HP S/C 3.5L ???? Nice to see it is avalible with 17" rims on the GT and optional 18" on the GTP Is the 6-speed part correct? If it is, that is awsome! Well, I must say, those pics look alot better than that scanned earlier one. I thought that car was very boring and I was pretty dissapointed but now I have changed my opinion. The car looks pretty good, especially the back. I like the interior a lot too. I just hope this is the base model and the others will get more aggressive. I am guessing the coupe might follow the lines of the Cobalt where the two look very different and the coupe is more distict. That sunroof idea is pretty cool. 95GRNZ 01-05-2004, 08:54 AM Originally posted by stars1010 That car does nothing for me.:( Agreed. :blah: Somebody convince me not to think that the rear end looks a lot like Neon... http://www.gminsidenews.com/images/prev2.jpg TS JEDCamino 01-05-2004, 09:41 AM I also think the rear looks a bit like a Neon, and for some reason the wheels look slightly small. But I like the front, the interior, and the sunroof. :) HuJass 01-05-2004, 10:50 AM I wouldn't get too excited over the coupe. It's gonna be one of those pseudo coupes, with those goofy suicide door-lets. It probably won't look like a true coupe. ckt101 01-05-2004, 08:05 PM I like it, it does look a lot better in these pics than it did in the scanned one a few days ago. Jason E 01-05-2004, 09:59 PM As a former '02 Grand Am GT owner, this car is a quantum leap over the current car...but is it enough???? Where's the AWD we were promised? The supercharged engine? Sure, 18" wheels and 240hp and a 6 speed are nice... But the REALLY cool stuff the concept had are gone. A supercharged AWD WRX beater is what I expected. Maybe its coming...but it doesn't sound like it yet. Z284ever 01-05-2004, 10:42 PM Originally posted by Jason E Where's the AWD we were promised? The supercharged engine? Sure, 18" wheels and 240hp and a 6 speed are nice... Yeah, no kidding! The AWD, supercharged, G6 coupe ...at one time...was the car that Pontiac was benchmarking the M3 with. I guess GTO took the wind out of those sails. Darth Xed 01-05-2004, 10:49 PM AWD and more power are in the pipeline for the G6... wait for the coupe and hardtop convertible debut... Z28x 01-05-2004, 11:05 PM The performance models always come out a year or two later. scott9050 01-05-2004, 11:56 PM Originally posted by stars1010 That car does nothing for me.:( I like it better than the new Mustang:) BigDarknFast 01-07-2004, 04:27 AM I wouldn't get too excited over the coupe. It's gonna be one of those pseudo coupes, with those goofy suicide door-lets. Ironically... that makes me MORE excited about the G6 coupe. I have two little tykes and rear access (including my access when attaching their tiny four-point kid seat harness) is one reason why I sold my TA. It wouldn't bother me a bit if the 5gen Camaro had a door-let too or at least an option for one. morb|d 01-07-2004, 06:02 AM looks good. :thumb: | ||
