That means the G6 GT will have 240 HP....quite a bump over the current Grand Am GT.

Also rumor has it the GXP coupe will have a 270 HP 3 Valve 3.9L.

Is 3V supposed to be on all the GM pushrod engines over the next few years? The one that said "LS2 heads" was of a BBC with the 3V, and now there's more rumors of the HV-V6 engines getting it...

Okay after seeing thses pics its better then that scanned one.

I think the GT will have the 200hp 3500 V6. Not big enough jump for my tastes. Hopefully some kind of "Ram Air" treatement (intake, exhaust) and axle ratio will appplied here to differentate itself from the regular G6's. 210hp would be better. Hey its GM--I don't expect too much ;)\

The "GT" should get the 240hp and the GTP (GPX) 270hp.

GT = 200HP 3.5L
GTP = 240HP 3.9L (with optional 6 speed manual:bow: )
GXP = 285HP S/C 3.5L ????

Nice to see it is avalible with 17" rims on the GT and optional 18" on the GTP

Any word on when we can expect the AWD option?

The more I see this car, the more I am reminded of a smoothed over last generation Dodge Startus/Chrysler Cirrus/Plymouth Breeze.

It's OK, but nothing stunning to look at.

Well, I must say, those pics look alot better than that scanned earlier one. I thought that car was very boring and I was pretty dissapointed but now I have changed my opinion. The car looks pretty good, especially the back. I like the interior a lot too. I just hope this is the base model and the others will get more aggressive. I am guessing the coupe might follow the lines of the Cobalt where the two look very different and the coupe is more distict.

That sunroof idea is pretty cool.

I wouldn't get too excited over the coupe. It's gonna be one of those pseudo coupes, with those goofy suicide door-lets.
It probably won't look like a true coupe.

I like it, it does look a lot better in these pics than it did in the scanned one a few days ago.

As a former '02 Grand Am GT owner, this car is a quantum leap over the current car...but is it enough????

Where's the AWD we were promised? The supercharged engine? Sure, 18" wheels and 240hp and a 6 speed are nice...

But the REALLY cool stuff the concept had are gone. A supercharged AWD WRX beater is what I expected. Maybe its coming...but it doesn't sound like it yet.

Yeah, no kidding!

The AWD, supercharged, G6 coupe ...at one time...was the car that Pontiac was benchmarking the M3 with.

I guess GTO took the wind out of those sails.

AWD and more power are in the pipeline for the G6... wait for the coupe and hardtop convertible debut...

The performance models always come out a year or two later.

Ironically... that makes me MORE excited about the G6 coupe. I have two little tykes and rear access (including my access when attaching their tiny four-point kid seat harness) is one reason why I sold my TA. It wouldn't bother me a bit if the 5gen Camaro had a door-let too or at least an option for one.
