can i power rear speakers with head unit and front with an amp?

is there anything wrong with doing it that way?? i think i got ripped off with the amp i bought and got a broken one, so it would be a little easier on my pocket book if i was able to get away with buying just a 2 channel amp to power my omponents and power the rear off of the head unit.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

With a good set of components in the doors, a sub (or two) and an amp for each you won't even need the rear speakers.
