94' LT1 vs. 99 Cobra Vert

We ran from a 60 roll, and were door to door, each gaining, then losing ground all the way to 105 when we shut down. Pulled over, he claimed had an X-Pipe and flowmasters (What do those do for Cobras as far as power goes?). Good run, though if he wasn't a vert, I think he would have slowly inched on by.

Good race

The 99's were rated at 320 but the dyno showed they were overrated. SVT issued a recall, and I believe fixed most of them.

I raced a 99/01 a while back on the freeway with 3 guys in it and pulled away. Theyre not as fast as LS1's despite what some claim.

My buddy had the dealer fix on his 99 vert and he dynoed 270rwhp/27#rwtq with CAI. Seems overrated to me slightly.

Spinner that race seemed about right, sounds like two people that know how to race their cars goin at it.Good race.Although i think maybe with those mods you shouldve inched by him SLOWLY,but sounds like a good race nonetheless, maybe he had pullies or cai or somethin as well, good race!!

btw, 270 at the wheels is roughly 320 at the flywheel. Seen them dyno 268-279 stock after the recall. also, the mufflers are the most restrictive part of the exhaust on a cobra. do a search on a mustang board, they gain like 15rwhp alone on the mufflers (not full catback). as for the x pipe, that doesnt do too much for them but your prolly looking at a total of about 290-300 rwhp from that Cobra in a car that weighs about 3500 lbs.

EDIT: I was running on 7 cylinders. I've been chasing a miss and it turns out I had burnt completely through a plug wire. . Makes sense, as I had smoked a 98' cobra the week before.
