hey guys its time for me to get new shocks so ive basically narrowed my choice down to the bilstein hd's or kyb shocks. my car is just street driven and i basically just want a tighter and firmer ride with not so much body roll and what not. i still have the stock springs on my car though, is it worthwhile to get new ones? also will there be anything else i need other than just shocks, i'm pretty clueless when it comes to suspension stuff. i'm on a highschool budget so i can't afford tons of new stuff also. thanks for any help.

If you want to do springs, now is the time to do it. Taknig the front shocks off means the springs are out of the car so what better time!!!
Good shocks are a must, for the money, the Bilstein HD's will be a good choice. I have a set of Eibach Sportlines for sell if you'd like them ($100). They'll give you approximately a 1.8" drop in the front and about 1.5" in the rear. The HD's are a good match for those. There are plenty of other springs out there, I just recommended those since they're inexpensive.
Once of the first items I recommend for any street F-Body is the Suspension Techniques 35mm front sway bar. Read stereomandan's reaction to this front bar.
