damn... by looking at your site, it seems to be a PITA to swap an LT1 into a 3rd gen... u think i should print out your page for my mechanic? lol

and another thing... since im not going to be running SD anymore, would i still be able to use the ram air style intake housing i have, or am i going to need to use something else with a maf sensor instead? im pretty lost here... i need help learning about LT1's now, lol

my aim sn is: smokin iroc z

take care guys

a printoff of that page for your mechanic is a definate yes, else all the info on that page they will have to figure out themselves and that will take more time than nessesary. costing you labour $ you could be putting back into the car and time you could be spending ripping around in a fast mofo ;)

dj haf:
Make sure you pull the accessories with the engine. Third gen acc. don't mount to an LT1. I didn't take notice of where you are (geographically) but if you run AC, you'll have to notch the k-member. I'd try to stay away from it.

be sure to get all sensors.. (LT1 can work without MAF sensor, but better get it, thatīs the way it goes.. )

If the engine is 96-97 better get PCM conversion so, you can reprogram it easy and cheap.. pcmforless itīs ok..

fo0k it... the motor i went to see wasn't worth buying and my mechanic gave me a deal on the rebuild... so im just going to rebuild my L98 and hope for mid to high mid 13's since it should have been running high 13's before it crapped out on me like this. enough ppl i know told me the swap wasn't worth it because of all the crap i'd have to do... that it would only be worth it if i was putting in a 402 LT1 pushing 500 hp or something... that to just rebuild the L98 and mod it up with time... so thats what im going to do, lol
